Being a teacher at JICS provided me with continuous opportunities for learning and growth. I’ve been able to develop new skills and challenge myself, which keeps me engaged and motivated.

One of the most memorable experiences I had was when the middle school and high school students went on a trip to Everland. It was a great day and it was so fun to see the students play!

“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” - John Dewey
As a 21st century educator, my philosophy to teach students in a way that prepares them not only for what lies beyond the classroom, but to also spark a lifelong love of learning. By using relevant texts, technology, and lessons that resonate with middle schoolers interests and their daily lives, I aim to create a classroom environment where students feel valued and heard. Through fostering their natural curiosity and encouraging critical thinking, I hope to create a supportive atmosphere where students can grow into thoughtful, engaged individuals who feel confident to be curious in their everyday lives. Ultimately, my mission is to empower students - not just to succeed academically, but to become those confident, lifelong learners ready to navigate and positively impact the world they’ll inherit.
